The cosy winter sports village of St. Lorenzen ob Murau at Kreischberg has grown into an attractive holiday destination with luxury villas and ski chalets at the foot of the Kreischberg ski area.

The Kreischberg Apartments are a new development. In two three-storey buildings, 18 luxurious and comfortable apartments are built in a modern alpine style and have a sunny south-facing location.

All apartments have a nice balcony or terrace with direct views of the ski slopes. They are ideally located in the centre of the village and next to the gondola lift to the ski area.

Kreischberg Apartments

Kreischberg Apartments is built entirely in accordance with Austrian tradition with high-quality materials in a modern alpine style. That means perfect luxury combined with cosiness and comfort. Its prime location offers stunning panoramic views of the ski slope and the surrounding mountains.

The apartments range from 60 m2 – 80 m2, with 2 or 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with in-house wellness (sauna and Jacuzzi). Each apartment features a terrace or balcony with a sunny south-facing location. Each building has one studio of approximately 40 m2.

The area

Kreischberg has a very sporty image, having hosted the 2003 World Snowboarding Championships. Since then, these world class athletes regularly return to this mountain with its great snow conditions. The area is in recent years in continuous development with the expansion of new slopes (total> 40km) and lifts. In December 2013 a brand new 10 person gondola was put in operation.

Now the snow park is considered one of the best in Austria. In addition, the ski resort of Kreischberg is very suitable for families. The area can be well overviewed, so no one gets lost and de modern lift system ensures optimized transport.

Surprisingly notable is the fact, that it is possible to follow easy blue slopes throughout the entire resort. Every outpost and peak can be reached with both easy as well as more challenging descends. This makes Kreischberg an all-round and friendly ski resort and is therefore also loved by less experienced winter sports enthusiasts. The ski school is organized internationally and has an excellent reputation. There is built a special “Kinderland” where the little ones can play and get their ski lessons.

Despite the new high speed lifts, snowmaking and the increase in the number of winter sports enthusiasts the area retains the authentic character that appeals to visitors. The Kreischberg is no ski industry or mass tourism. Spread over the area you will find many cozy mountain huts where you can enjoy the Austrian cuisine. And of course there is a lively après-ski.

Summer
In the summer it is great to stay here and enjoy the many lakes, hiking trails and bicycling paths, not to mention the 18-hole golf course Murau Kreischberg. The more than 200 sunny days per year, the guaranteed-to-be-snowy ski area and the golf course ensure a perfect holiday environment in all seasons.

A few kilometres away is the historic town of Murau with numerous medieval sights. The town was founded by a number of noble families around 1250, it was a crossroad of trade routes and developed into a local centre for trade and industry. The cosy Altstadt is a nice town centre with various shops, supermarkets, cosy terraces, restaurants and many medieval sights.

Golf course
The 18-hole / par 72 golf course Murau Kreischberg is two kilometres away from the apartments. The extensive golf course is beautifully situated in the valley on the Mur River and offers a beautiful view of the rolling hills of the surrounding mountain landscape. The courses, which runs through the forest, along the river and over a green alpine meadow, are highly appreciated by enthusiasts. From the clubhouse two rounds of nine holes can be played. There is a driving range, chipping area and putting green.
